Welcome to the Wine Club! Please take a moment to review and agree to the policies below.
All discounts, perks, and details vary by club level.
Membership discounts and complimentary tastings:
- All new members receive 20% off their first purchase.
- Does not apply to wine club allocation orders, gift cards, or event tickets.
- Does not apply to returning members.
- Members are allotted complimentary flight(s) or glass(es) at every visit.
- Limited to one per person per day from the wine tasting menu(s) offered on the day of the visit.
Wine Club Allocations:
- By joining our wine club you have agreed to receive wine club allocations as set forth below.
- Allocations are distributed two times per year, in Spring and Fall, and will be automatically charged to the card on file.
- Cellar club members agree to all Diamond club terms plus a 3rd allocation in Winter.
- Allocation Preferences:
- Gold, Platinum and Diamond club packages are “Winemaker’s Choice”. Our team takes the time to select the best wines for you.
- Cellar club packages are "Member's Choice". Members build their package from a select list of wines.
- “Mixed” clubs will receive white, rosé, and/or red in Spring and all reds in Fall.
- “Red Only” clubs will receive all red wines in Spring and Fall.
- “Ship” members agree to maintain a valid shipping address on file and to pay applicable shipping & handling fees plus local taxes.
- “Pickup” members agree to pickup their allocations, at our winery in Middleburg, within 90 days of charges.
- Substitutions:
- are not allowed at the Gold and Platinum level.
- may be requested by Diamond level members provided the total of the revised order is not less than 10% of the original package price.
- Cellar level members are allowed substitutions and may customize allocations.
- Failure to pickup wine allocations:
- After 90 days, if not picked up, your package will be automatically shipped to shipping address on file. S&H fees + local taxes may apply and will be automatically charged to the credit card on file. Notice will be provided.
- If package cannot be shipped for any reason (e.g., invalid credit card or address), the allocation funds will be placed onto an e-gift card and sent to the email on file. Funds transferred to gift cards will not will not count towards your minimum commitment.
Shipping & Handling:
- Boxwood will re-attempt a failed delivery once, at no extra cost, before the order is placed cancelled and funds are transferred to a gift card.
- Members with a shipping address in a state we do not ship-to will have a “pickup” preference automatically selected.
Payment Methods:
- You agree to maintain an active credit card on file at all times.
- Failure to maintain an active credit card may result in suspension or cancellation of your membership without notice.
Club Maximums & Wait Lists:
- Cellar club is limited to a maximum of 75 members.
- You may request to be place on the Cellar club waiting list if:
- You are a current Diamond club status, or
- You have been with current wine club for 3+ years.
Membership Hold Policy:
- You may place your account on hold for up to one calendar year.
- An account may only be placed on hold once prior to fulfilling the minimum commitment.
- On-hold memberships may not redeem member discounts/perks and club allocation will not be processed.
- Membership will automatically re-activate on date requested without notice to member.
- Cellar Club members: if the club has an active wait list the request to hold will downgrade your membership to Diamond club. You may request to be added to the priority wait list once account is re-activated.
Membership Cancellation Policy:
- Early cancellations will be assessed a cancellation fee of $15 plus the sum total of member-discounts from any order(s).
- Membership requires all members fulfill a minimum commitment of one year’s worth of allocations prior to cancellation.
- Active allocation orders at time of cancellation request will not be refunded.
- Notification will be provided prior to all club allocations via email, if you do not intend to receive your allocation you are responsible to request cancellation prior to the notified date of charges.
- Allocation charges transferred to a gift card will not count towards a member’s minimum commitment.
